  • Durable foam tiles with a textured surface.
  • Tiles are reversible and available in four colors.
  • Includes two removable edge pieces allowing you to create a corner, border, and center tiles.
  • Great for high-impact workouts and play.
  • Note: Removable corners can become a choking hazard.
Description - Our Judo Mats are constructed with high-quality closed-cell foam with a slightly softer impact than our 1" MMA mats. Since these tiles have a different foam formulation than our other foam mats, they are even better for high-impact training and workouts making them perfect for any room, martial arts studio, MMA gym, or dojo.
For more variety, Judo mats are reversible and come with our most popular colors and a textured surface for increased traction when training. These tiles also come with two removable edge pieces, making the creation of corner, border, or center tiles easy and allowing you to create any size finished flooring surface. These tiles are latex-free and allergen-free, making them safe for children of all ages.
Note: Foam products can be punctured by sharp animal nails, rough use, high heels, and moving furniture.
Material – Closed cell EVA foam rubber.
Size – 2' x 2'.
Thickness – ~20 mm
Weight – Each tile weighs ~2 Lbs.
Spec Sheet - Printable Spec Sheet.
Recommended Uses – Judo Mats have been used successfully in martial arts studios, home gyms, for tumbling and other gymnastic events, as pilates and yoga mats, in home exercise rooms, and anywhere else where a cushioning floor tile system would be helpful.
  • Jumbo soft tiles are easy to clean and maintain. The foam tiles are constructed of durable closed cell foam, no liquids can penetrate the surface of the tiles.
  • If the tiles do get something spilled on them or appear dirty, all that is necessary to clean them is to do a quick wipe of the interlocking floor tiles with a damp cloth and your soft tiles will look like new.

Installation of interlocking tiles is very simple and typically done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  • First, clean your subfloor so it is free of all dirt, grease, or debris.
  • Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile and add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls. Add center, corner, and border tiles where you see fit.
  • When coming up to an opposite wall, make sure you cut the tiles to fit the area leaving a gap that’s roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor tiles in varied temperature ranges.
Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the locked together product is usually enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, some double-sided tape or mat tape can be used around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Is there glue in the center where the two colors come together? If so, what type of glue? I am concerned about toxic outgassing. Thank you.
Sherri
EVA foam is compiled in a layering process using heat. The two colors are not adhered together by a glue and are one continuous piece. All our tiles are tested for VOCs and are below national standards for foam tiles.
What is the warranty on the foam tiles? I plan to use these over carpet under heavy gym equipment. I'm concerned about color transfer . Please advise. Thank you
Anonymous
Our Jumbo Soft Tiles do not come with a warranty due to them being made of foam. Depending on the carpet they are going over, there is a potential for some color transfer. This would be an issue with a white carpet or very light carpet. If you do have a light colored carpet you can put a plastic sheet under the tiles to prevent any color transfer. Since these tiles are made of foam, they will indent under the weight of the heavy gym equipment. If that is an issue, we do have rubber tiles that are better able to handler the weight of heavy gym equipment. Our 8mm Strong Rubber Tiles and our 3/8" Sport-Lock Tiles are great alternative products for your installation.
These look like they might work as a mat for outside our camper. Do you think that woud be appropriate?
Dana S Peake
Our 7/8" Jumbo Soft Tiles have and can be used as a mat outside your camper. They are very easy to clean and maintain and are very easy to install, pick-up, and store.
These are called Judo tiles, but are they really thick enough to safely absorb the impact of people being thrown to the mat?
Robert
Judo Mats, and all martial arts mats, face the dilemma of having a softer surface at the expense of stability for movement. The more "squishy" and soft the foam, the more difficult it is to move around on it. These tiles create a great deal of absorption while creating a surface that has the real feeling of a dojo when you move on them.
Reading about these tiles and the Tatami tiles. Some reviewers on the Tatami tiles state they can be slippery. I was wondering if these tiles have any slipperiness issues? Or is it because of the texture of the Tatami tiles that gives them there slipperiness.
Gary
Our Jumbo Soft tiles and all of our foam tiles can be slippery underfoot. If you wear socks, there is always a potential for you to slip. Also, there is a film that is added to the tiles during production that can also make the tiles slippery. The best remedy for the slipping that can occur is to wear grippy bottom socks.
The area where I want to put these has odd dimensions. Could I cut these to fit the space without causing too much damage to the tiles?
Anonymous
You can cut our Jumbo Soft Tiles with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge without damaging the tiles.
I want to put these in the garage for my granddaughter's workout, can it be taken up and put down after each use, or if once you put down it has to stay, or it's not good to take up after each use?
Barbara Taylor
Our Jumbo Soft Tiles were designed to be floating floor and can be easily installed and removed as many times as you like. These tiles are very easy to clean and maintain and are mold and mildew resistance
What is the difference between these Judo tiles and the Tatami tiles?
The difference between the Judo Mats and the Tatami Tiles is the surface. The Tatami Tiles have a tatami texture on the surface, whereas the Judo Mats have a lattice type texture on top.
Between the judo and tatami tiles, which has better grip?
J
The two different mats, Judo mats and Tatami mats, both have very good grip. The difference would be mostly aesthetic between the traditional Tatami-style surface or a more modern textured top.
I am looking to buy approximately 100 edges pieces that normally come with a mat when purchased. I have 7/8" thick, red/blue judo mats (jumbo soft tiles 2'x2') that I bought from your company about ten years ago. I only see beveled pieces on the website available for purchase which will not work for my needs. BTW, the 7/8" mat actually only measures 3/4" thick.
Roger Brown
At this time, we do not sell non-beveled edge pieces.
Do these have a fall safety rating. Example fall height safety rating of 4 ft etc.
Janet Rashell
Our 7/8" Judo Mats and any of our foam tiles do not have a fall height rating. If you are looking for fall height rated flooring, we do have a wide range of Playgroung Flooring that is fall height rated.
Do I need to order the pieces to finish the corners and sides?
All Judo Mats come with two edge pieces that form a corner. You will be able to move the edge pieces to whatever side you wish to create a complete mat with clean edges and corners.
Can these put over a heated concrete floor?
Pamela
Our 7/8" Judo Mats can be used on top of radiant heated floors.
Can these foam tiles be used as a playground covering?
Since our 7/8" Judo Mats are made from foam, they may not last very long outside in the elements, but you can install them outdoors. These tiles are mold and mildew resistant and are also easy to clean and maintain. We would recommend ordering backup tiles for any damage that may occur. One other thing you will notice is that the tiles will fade in direct sunlight over time.

  Great For Home Gym
Self-installed in Home Gym

We installed these in our home gym over a year ago. They've taken a beating - lots of high impact exercise (Insanity, P90X, etc). No wear seen and they have held up great. I am very happy with these and would recommend for any home gym environment - price is tough to beat. not as durable as commercial solutions that you see at your local gym. But commercial solutions are overkill for most home solutions.

Great product, perfect for workouts and play rooms
Self-installed in Home gym/playroom

We purchased these tiles for a room that serves as a workout area and our son's play space. We have wood floors and covered half of the room in the tiles, baseboard to baseboard. When done this way the tiles do not slide back and forth when doing aerobic exercise and jumping. They are also soft enough to sit on when playing with our son. We were able to cut a few of them to customize them for our space, even for an area that goes over an air vent. The look is clean and professional and I like the fact that you can easily wipe them off if something is spilled. Great product that I would highly recommend to others!
